Reliability of Equipment:
Continuous samplers operate automatically from remote control stations. All
equipment associated with automatic sampling must be designed for unquestionable
reliability of operation. Plenty has been manufacturing and marketing
mixers to the oil industry for over 50 years. The range of Pipeline
Power Mixers is derived from the field proven range of side entry mixers. Hundreds
of smaller Pipeline Power Mixers have been in successful operation for
many years and since 1980 sampling mixers have been provided for 24",
26", 30", 34", 36" and 38" lines. Simplicity
provides reliability of operation.
The Plenty package consists not only of the mixer but also low maintenance,
reliable operations and over 200 years of engineering excellence.
Oil Industry Sampling Applications:
The Plenty Pipeline Power Mixer can be installed either into a new Pipeline
or an existing Pipeline, and with our fabrication / manufacturing facilities
we can offer a Pipeline Power Mixer complete with connection flanges
to suit your existing Pipeline, so there is no need for your operation
to shutdown for long periods of time.

Economy and Pressure Drop:
Efficient mixing requires energy. This is normally supplied by means
of the transfer pumps and is generated by obstructions in the pipe causing
an increase in pressure drop. The degree of mixing will also fluctuate
depending upon flow rate and product characteristics (Density / Viscosity).
The design objective is to minimize pressure
drops and so minimize pumping energy required. When fixed vane type mixers
are used for mixing, very high-pressure drops occur at high flow rates
and minimal mixing occurs at low flow rates. No consistency is obtained,
product quality varies.
Plenty Pipeline Power Mixers have low-pressure
drops and hence negligible effects on transfer pumping. By mixing
just prior to sampling the most efficient use of energy is made. Mixing
performance is consistent and predictable.

Guaranteed Mixing: |

|
| |
|
|
Immiscible liquids and solids
will separate unless sufficient agitation occurs then stable
emulsions will form. |
|
|
A static mixer can be designed
to provide the correct amount of agitation for constant flow
applications. |
|
|
Plenty Pipeline Power Mixers
are designed to provide consistent performance over wide
turndown ratios of flow. |
|
|
This unique performance is achieved
by use of patented Plenty Impellators. Surface tension
is broken down and droplet size is maintained without over
emulsification. Mixing performance is guaranteed. |
